Dia has enjoyed many facets of art throughout her life. But, it was not until 8 years ago when she started taking art classes from Young at Art Studios that her talents finally blossomed. Soon she and a friend were heading the art program at Wood Ranch Elementary school in Simi Valley. The next 6 years were filled with weekly art classes for every child (over 1,100 students) and a yearly art show.

During this time Dia was also busy doing commission work for clients. These pieces included portraits and animals done in acrylic or pastels.

Dia's forte is her colorful animals, she is not afraid to use color. Her art work has been displayed in many local Ventura Countyjuried art shows. Some of her art winning First Place, Honorable Mention, and two pieces winning Best in Show.

Her true love is the joy of teaching children art, watching their talents grow and their confidence soar. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to become a member of the Young at Art children loving team!
